How much timing advance is everyone running with 93 octane pump gas with an Eaton and about 14psi. and typical supporting mods. Im at 19 degrees total at full throttle/load right now with my tune. Also how much with 100 octane race unleaded? Is that too conservative ?

yes that does seem conservative. Im at 18* 91 octane 11.80 AF 15 psi with my tune and thats really conservative. When i get some torco im gonna try 22* .Sorry i dunno if any of this helps

I see between 15-16psi depending on the weather and run 22* on pump 93. On my nitrous tune I run 16* timing tuned for pump 93, but when I spray I like to keep a couple gallons of 100 octane for a bit of safety. If you want to do a race tune for the 100 octane on the eaton you could bump that timing up to 24*-25*.

I have 23 degrees on 94 octane on my Whipple for 14 - 15 psi. Which is up there, however my afr is 11.2 at WOT.

Seems to me my ported Eaton on 2.93 had 21 degree on 93 / 94 octane.

Generally, 21 or 22 degrees with a 11.5 - 12.0 AFR. Some folks will do 23 degrees of timing on 93 octane without issue as long as the AFR is not too lean.

You can do 22*'s with a safe a/f ratio pretty easy on 93 octane. Then for a race tune for high octane you could go with 23 or 24*'s.

I was very surprised to see that even though my car could run 22, it made the same numbers at 19.

Plenty of fuel here.
It just plain made the same #s w/ in 5 or less with less timing.
Wasnt worth all the extra timing just for <5hp

It's not uncommon to run 23* on 93 octane just make sure the A/F is fat, low to mid 11s.
Agree with JM here..... I ran 23 degrees for about two years on the street with 16 lbs of boost on a ported Eaton. Now with the Xcal II's multiple tune storage capability, I just run 21 degrees on the street......But have a little fun at the track with 24, and sometimes even 25 degrees on my 101 octane race tune.

And it appears that, give or take a bit, but a degree of advance timing is good for about 7-8 RWHP on an Eaton setup.........Not bad.
