depends on if the top is down when they run.... noticeable difference in accel with top down vs top up at highway speeds. less rear seat acts like a chute.

I have a convertible and ran an 11.70 with just 2.76 upper and regular bolt-ons. I've seen coupes with similar mods to mine running slower times. Personally I think a lot of the 115 lbs is in the rear where the convertible top motor is and I believe it actually helps to have it back there. When I had the stock tires, I noticed that I had almost no wheel hop when the top was down, i.e. more weight in the rear. 115lbs really isn't that much. That's the difference between a fat driver and a skinny driver. I weigh around 260 so if you put me in a coupe and get someone who ways 145 to drive my car, the weight would be the same.

i think its more than just the weight, i think the coupe's chassis is more stiff than the vert's, but i dont know how much if any it'll have on the 1/4 mile:shrug:

Its just a formula used to give a baseline effects on weight vs Hp in the 1/4 mile. Of course there are other factors.

+.13 in the 1/4 mile for adding 115lbs seems about right.

At least it was better info than he was getting.

According to the formula 70lbs would get you less than a tenth in the 1/4.

The rest would be up to the driver!!!:loser:

**Note to self: Need to lose 70 lbs to get into the low elevens.**

Man, I wish... my one and only time down the track was 13.61 @ 103.26 with a 2.47 60 foot.

They shut down racing, for 3 hours, while the track ambulance took some guy that had a heart attack to the hospital, I got one run in @ midnight and the track closed @ 12:30. :fm:

Practice, practice, practice.

Mine isn't ported. Just got a really strong running car. I dynoed it on a mustang dyno and on a dynojet and got pretty much the same numbers. Have the dynocharts and most importantly, the time slips to prove it.

I see it's tuned by Rick. If my memory is right, your numbers are about the same as Linn's coupe back when she was racing. Nice!!
