How much compression (PSI) would be acceptable for this engine?

Guys,

I'm helping a friend by a twin turbo termi with a built engine and I wanted to give it a good run-through first. The weather isn't great up here, so a road test is completely out of the question.

I'm going to bring along a compression tester to get a very basic idea of the engines health.

Here are the engine mods:

98 Cobra Teksid block .020 over
Cobra crank
Oliver Billet rods
Diamond 11.5cc pistons
Stage II ported heads
Livernois springs
Modular performance Custom turbo cams
98 Cobra timing cover
ATI Super Damper balancer
Ported long runner 01 Cobra intake

How much cylinder compression (in PSI) would this engine generate? 160-170? Generally speaking, what else should I look for?

Thanks.

170 would be good, I'd consider doing a cylinder leakdown too... From the parts you listed that's a nice motor. FYI cold fire startup oil pressure should be in the 90 psi range..

Thanks! Didn't think to ask about the oil pressure - glad you brought it up.

Depends on the intake valve closing point of the camshafts, and a few other factors. Longer duration cams and later closing points will lower the cranking compression.
