On Thursday my wife was rear ended sitting at a red light. She got out, checked the truck and talked to the other driver briefly and since there were no injuries or major damage she suggested they pull into the gas station at the light. She got in the truck and started pulling in, the driver fled at that point.
This was in metro jurisdiction. She gave a description of the driver and car which was confirmed by parts on the road. The officer stated they would turn it in to the Hit and Run Division.
What is, generally, their protocol?
I am scouting Social Media for anything that could be useful or see if I can maybe get a break on the guy. She didn’t get a name or plate.
What else could I do. I know video cameras from businesses are gonna be useless as I can get a better shot of a neighbor’s butthole from Google Earth than an image 5 feet away from a business surveillance camera.
Like mistletoe, I’m hung where you will see.
