I searched but could not find more info. Are all you guys out there making 700 hp or more with higher compression using a factory type starter? or do you guys go with something stronger? the only reason i ask is I am replacing mine now, and i want to make sure it wont crap out in a year, being that i hav slightly higher compression and its harder on the gears( so im told)

any thoughts? I was just going to buy a factory replacement but i wanted to ensure this was safe.

thanks

I am at 9.8:1 static compression with a stock starter. The timing of your valve events and ignition timing also have an impact on starter performance and durability.
