After going from the cts-v to the cobra, there is no way I could drive with these headlights. They are horrible. My buddy has HID's in his terminator and I love them. Sadly they were on the car when he bought them and he doesn't know what brand. I was planning on doing headlights and fog lights. I tried searching but as usual the search function blows lol. Those who have HID's what do you suggest and does anyone have pics of their setups?

Interesting, that search function just brought me here. I'm looking to buy some within the next week or so. A friend of mine told me he bought his for some $30 on eBay but his lights would go off every once in awhile and he had to go out and tap on it or whatever. I'm in the same boat, lookin' for a decent kit. I hope we get some answers here soon

Btw, I got several better search results when I searched "high intensity discharge"

I went with the 6k kit from StangMods. Had it for about 3 years now. Has a lifetime warranty on ballast and bulbs. Had a ballast on the heads and fogs go. Stangmods is great to deal with.

^ Wow those look great. I check out that website and it's $360 for headlights and fogs no including shipped. Kind of steep.

That's what good ones cost, hell my Mccullough were that just for the headlights. I have Mccullough on my 11 yr. old bike for the past 8 years without issue and for the past 4 yrs. in my Cobra, again no issues.

I use VVME for my HID needs.
I went with the 6,000K HID kit (pure white light).
I love 'em.

I used LED bulbs in my fogs as I heard too many horror stories about people melting these.

Here's my link - Best HID Kits, HID Headlights online shopping, LCD Projector/Tattoo Kits/CCTV Systems for sale

If I remember correctly, I paid $80 for my bi-xenon slimline kit and it has been flawless for over 1 year now.
NOTE - Mine has the relay kit also and plug-n-play perfectly. Highly recommend!

Do you have pics of them? Your kit was significantly cheaper.
Now I'm sitting the fence. I wouldn't mind spending the extra money if it would be worth it.

I have 6k from HID GUY. They have worked well and top notch customer service. HIDGUY.net is his website if it hasn't changed.

Where did you get the LED bulbs from?

Got mine from ddmtuning a little over a year ago. Fogs and headlights for about $100 and not a single problem. They also come with a lifetime warranty if anything ever does happen. Don't have any pics of mine personally, however there are several threads with pics in them about HID's.

They are expensive but they are of great quality. I run them on all the time and only 2 ballasts going bad in 3 years is pretty good. The lifetime warranty on the bulbs and ballasts is great and its provided by a mustang parts company that doesn't look like it will be going out of business anytime soon. Great customer service is big for me.

Looks like it's between HIDGUY.net and Stangmods. Tough decision! Definitely going with 6000k though

Have a projector retrofit done. Second to none.

I agree, and planned to do that to mine but my priorities changed since I never drive it at night anyway, so I have a complete projector retrofit setup for sale if anyone is considering going this route.;-)
