Help...where does this go(pic inside)

Putting the motor back in the cobra. Does anyone know where this part go? Please any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like a brace..I took mine out top and dont recall anything like that..

Did u go out bottom?

Yeah motor appears to have came out the bottom. A performance shop took it out, but couldn't finish it in time. Little more info: rebuilt 03 cobra motor, upr k-member, 2.2 kb.

Stock k member has a brace across the back going side to side

Thats a straight bar though without any of that bracketry. Just bolt holes on both ends ^

Just went through all my under carriage pics and I dont see that anywhere. My motor has never been dropped.

Still have the IRS? Might have come from back there

It might be the brace in the rear fenders.

Thanks for the response everyone. The irs seems to be fine. Dont see why they would mess around back there. Hope i dont end up with extra parts lol

Does it have a Ford part of enginering number on it?

Don't worry about having parts left over, that means you're a mechanic not an assembler.

No part number or stamping of any kind. Do the front fenders have support brackets?

Just had my fender liners out and theres nothing like that in there

I picked up my car parts in plastic containers when I got it......maybe someone else's parts got in. I know I was missing a lot of parts of mine. Just don't want to put the motor in and have a difficult time to install after.

that's nothing in the irs and doesn't look like the factory chassis brace under the front of the car for convertibles.
Just say its a weight reduction mod

I don't recognize it but you may want to put a 12" ruler in the photo or a soda/beer can so we can tell just about how big the piece is.
