heater ac problem

the problem is that when I turn on the heater or ac the car turns off. Has anyone ever have this problem and do anyone know the fix.

thanks man, so its the mass air flow sensor rigth. Know if I turn thr ac heater on it smells like something is burning.

No offense but I wouldn't really take advice from someone who couldn't remember what a maf is.

Vac leak possibly,due to the fact that the a/c-heat controls work off of Vacuum.That wouldn`t explain the burning smell though.

I'm going to guess, that the fan motor or relay is about to die. Its stalling the car because of the electrical load. Mine smelled burned for a few days before it finally blew the 50amp fuse and died completely.

ughh, you sure you have coolant in your car? AC/Heat runs off coolant, the burning smell could be your motor overheating.

thanks guys, I was thinking of a fuse or relay. Dose anyone kown were it is so I can check it out.

The fuse is under this cover,it`s a 50amp fuse.
