So I've decided to just get my stock heads fixed. My question is to those of you that have done the same. How much did it set you back. I received a quote from my machine shop that seemed more than a little high. Also it worth it to get them ported while they are off? I may even cam it who know just depends on where my cash flow is at.

What is the shop going to do with your stock heads to correct the coolant flow issue? When I saw your thread I thought you were upgrading to the 1/2005 heads.

I broke a camshaft in a head before. Dropped the heads off at the best shop around. Got then completely gone through and fixed for 500. Then had them ported here by newkid for 300.
