The movie was enjoyable. Very grateful it didn’t relinquish itself to the typical “love story” like Pearl Harbor did. Ben Affleck can ruin any movie though.

The historical accuracy overwhelmed the CGI. The action was good and it skipped around perfectly to show different perspectives from both sides of the war.

My uncle was a dive bomber pilot in the Pacific. He was too you to enlist so his parents had to sign him in. He stayed career Navy. Never really had much to say about it.

If you’re interested you should watch the original version with Hal Holbrook, Henry Fonda, etc in it.

I have it on DVD...one of my fav movies
