Guy with Bassani mid-lengths - Does this sound strange?

I sent an email to Bassani tech support today asking about their mid-lengther header installation. I am having my engine pulled for headswap and they said they would install some. The directions did not mention anything about installation w/ engine out.

The tech emailed me back saying that he would not install the headers with the engine out. All of their testing and installation was done with engine in place. Are there some clearance issues that only allow piecing together headers while engine is in place.

Any info would be great.

The dealer installed my headers with the engine out for the head swap. :shrug:
