I like the M&P 2.0s. The best striker fired trigger right behind PDP/PPQs and VP9s, IMO. Appex trigger mod and it goes beyond that.

Fantastic ergos as well.

Great looking.

Solid ROI.

Go for it, papi!
I almost bought a 2.0, but went with the M&P Plus Performance Center. I like this one a bit more than my original M&P Performance Center. But neither fire quite like my HK VP9SK. That one, I absolutely love and would never be without.

Should have went with the 2.0.

I’ve shot the 2.0 and VP9 SK and although they have different shapes, both the ergos and trigger feel are very similar.

Not a fan of little‘r guns. They just dont quite feel the same as their bigger frame counterparts.

I hear ya. I'm very happy with both the VP9-SK and the Plus. But I totally understand that some would prefer the bigger frame pistols. My VP9-SK has always given me the feeling that "it was created (custom fit) just for me". LOL.

I just found out that on October 1, CT has a new gun law in affect. Open-carry is now officially against the law. Your gun must be concealed. It's okay if parts of it show if you move your shirt, etc. It just can't be worn with it being fully visible. Just another notch by the anti-gun pundants, but to be fair, open-carry was always a question to gun owners generally here. The law never forbid open-carry, but you would likely be stopped by a cop if you were walking around with it fully exposed. In 5+ years I've only seen one person doing open-carry here. I had never done it myself because it would freak most people out.

Hey man, there is definitely a purpose fir each. The smaller guns usually, just wont have as good a feel/trigger. And yes, I agree, the ergos of the VP9 are something else. Is like holding my ****! That comfy! The full size 2.0 was as well, tho. Compared to glock, which feels like a 2x4….

Here is my new to me 229r roster gun that California allowed me to buy. That Beretta is my dads old school 92 that still has the mag release on the bottom. I’m not exactly sure how old it is as he’s had it longer than I’ve been alive, I think. Taking them both to the range tomorrow along with a mini 14 and a neutered Ca legal AR that I’m embarrassed to show off . The range I’m going to is pretty cool as it’s private and in the mountains/foothills. Once you are a full time member it’s open 24/7-365 and they give you the key to the place. It’s a one of a kind place around here. Oh I also have a p320 m18 on order that just came into the ca roster that’s available to buy. As you can imagine they’re sold out everywhere here as it’s a “new gun” to the roster.

I like open-carry. I never do it myself, but I like to know where the yahoos who think they're Wyatt Earp are so I can keep an eyeball on them.

^^What's the eye-relief on that scope? That looks really awkward to grab the charging handle under the scope. Get a cantilever mount and move it forward, and then bring your stock in a bit.

Anyway, picture thread. El Paso Saddlery delivered a holster for a 4" Python...

Thats exactly what i need to do...its works fine as is...but could be better

The eye relief is the bitch of it...thr charging handle is not an issue now.

Its a dog gun mostly, sooo im not worried about bein quick with it excepy fornthe follow up shot if needed...notice the lack of a 30rd mag lol...just a 10rder for her...but it only takes two mins to take of the glass and put the romeo back on when the svtp militia convenes...lol

That holster is pretty cool/wild. Would make for a wild open carry.

Many manufacturers make a decent cantilever mount for a good price.

I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1 - 8 in a vortex mount. The scope is not exactly renowned for its eye relief but the setup works fine.

They make a great holster, but I could so without their name all over the front. Unfortunately, it's riveted on.

This is my Yellowstone/Grand Tetons/Grizzly country open-carry gun.

I want to get a Freedom arms revolver in .454 Casull, there is a shop in Jackson that carries them and I will probably pick one up next summer.

What level retention is that?

Whatever is standard for revolvers. It's this or a leather thong strap.

i was just poking fun a little, since its not your standard safariland, blackhawk, aliengear, etc.

No doubt there is a lot of craftsmanship on that thing.

A little weird not seeing a covered trigger guard.

Nice piece tho!

I think that's a bigger issue for semi autos. I'd find it hard to pull the trigger on that gun with the leather strap in place.

My daily carry is setup a bit different...
