Gt500 or 08 Ls3 c6?

Someone told me last night that the gt500 weighs 4900lbs. I having a hard time believeing this, I thought that they weighed around 4000lbs. Wh does gt500 do when its stock in the quarter? From what I can read its about a 13.0 @ 109. I really like the car and was thinking of waiting till the 2010 model is out but from what I can see they are still going for 48k to 55k which for less than that I can get a 08 Ls3 c6. My friend got one and it traps 117 with 100miles on it. Guess we will see how the prices go in time.

Both are sweet rides. I personally prefer the looks of the C6, and the LS3 is amazing. Either way, you'll be satisfied. Drive both and see which gets you going the most.

I think maybe its time to stop listening to "someone". My car weighs 4010 with me in it and I weigh 260lbs. Stock GT500's run low 12's. Check out the GT500 forum to get educated.........

yeah both are badass. It would be pretty hard to choose between the two. The corvette's looks are sexy as shit, and just everything about the c6's as far as technology seems so much more advanced. But the gt500 is sexy as shit too. plus a factory supercharged 5.4dohc motor? man a pulley swap and full boltons/tune would eat the ls3. both are badass cars. I say get the gt500, i think it will hold its value better

Unless you need the backseat, the LS3 C6 Vette is the way to go. It is faster and handles better. Plus, I think all you need is intake exhaust, headers and tune and it is faster than the the Z06s!

It'll take a little more than that to beat its bigger brother. But they do respond VERY WELL to those mods mentioned above, throw in a cam and you have a nasty all motor C6 that will hand most of the pullied Shelbys and Terminators thier ass. Throw a 150 shot into the mix to fend off the twin screw guys:coolman:

the gt500 weighs in at 3850 fully fueled without the mach 1000 stereo. with the stereo the gt500 is 3910.:beer:

now you just talking silly, people thought my old V6 stang was cooler than my cuz cobra? And think the GT500 is just another mustang on the road.
