Head on collision, driver coming from other direction crossed center line and hit me almost head on. My 2 year old was with me he is ok other than a mild abrasion on his head. I have a head contusion ( fancy name for big ass goose egg ) and a shoulder/ arm sprain that hurts like hell. And today my left side of my neck has gotten stiff as hell and is hurting. Any advice from you guys that have been in a wreck similar is appreciated. Here is some pics.........

notice the drivers side, how both doors kind of crumpled up. The I bar between the two doors is pushed in about 3 to 5 inches and this is what got my shoulder. Going by the pics do you think its a total loss? This is a 2005 4x4 with 70k miles on it, book value is 17k high and 14k low end .

Totaled. I got into one similar several months ago in my wifes Charger when some douche blew a light and took off most of the front end.

Glad your were in a rig like that though. A smaller car and you might not have been around to tell us the story.

Wow, glad you both are OK. That could have been a lot worse.

The truck would cost more than $15K to repair, so I'll agree that it's going to be totaled. It gave its life to save yours; good trade.

Glad you and your child are okay. On a more serious note, go get you and your son checked out by specialist (such as a chiropractor). You may not feel it now, but you may start hurting down the road, and it will be too late to collect fee's for the damages

Wow, glad your ok after a head on collision! How did the other driver fair? Hopefully the soreness wears off after a couple weeks. Sucks but it could have all ways been worse.

Get a lawyer. What kind of car was the other driver in?

Why the f#$- is everyone so quick to sue anymore? The guy stated they were ok??? Sometimes accidents do happen and people should not be using an accident to "get theirs" - this is part of what's wrong with society anymore, greed and entitlement! Now if the other driver was drunk, giving his boyfriend a blowjob, et frpp - then I could see lawsuit...

Glad to see that you and your son are ok. Only advice I can give you from my ordeal is this, document everything. Get a book and write down any conversations you have regarding this accident, what that conversation entailed, who the person was you talked to, and date and time. Every time you or your son sees a doctor. I say this because if you have to end up going the legal route time will have passed. When they are asking you questions it is very hard to remember dates and times and conversations. I am not telling you to sue, just to be prepared if it has to go that route.
