I left the stockers up front... didn't want the extra weight of the afs 10.5 inch wheels up front. 315/35/17

Click me to see GS D3 315/35/17

Goodyear just replied to my request. They said they have no plans on making 315-30-18 Gs-D3 tires due to the high cost of a new mold and very low demand for this size. :cuss:

You don't want to ever run anything wider than a 275 up front on these Cobras.....trust me. They will rub, handle like crap, and the road will be steering YOU around instead. Also, 315/35/17 is the correct size.

I have 245/45/17 Dunlop M3 snow tires on at the moment and have discovered that stopping from high speeds quickly is an adventure. The car wants to wander sideways and requires a firm grip on the steering wheel. I don't know if it is from the snow tires composition, the thinner tire size, or a combination of the two. The 275/40/17 GS D3 front tires are MUCH more stable at higher speeds. Goldilocks would like the 275s. :)

I want to get the DS-G3s and I want to stay with 17" rims. What sizes are you running on yours?

Thanks!

(315/35/17)

This would be the correct size for the stock rims? What do the numbers mean? I also assume this tire is wider then stock?

315 is the width in mm and the 35 is a percentage of that width. I'm 99% positve of this. And of course the 17 is the rim.

So just to clarify if you had a 315/30/17 that tire will have a slightly thinner sidewall than a 315/35/17. If you had a 315/60/17 then that tire with have a huge sidewall.
