I'm looking to upgrade the lower end on my 99 cobra. It's currently a stock short block. I would like a 11:1 piston and forged rod on stock bore or .020" over if needed.. My block and crank are good as it runs well and not knocking and have 55k on the odo. I will be running billet oil pump gears and adjustable timing gears with fr500 cams, valve train and c-heads. Car also has a psr, long tubes and 4:10 gears.

What is a Good quality piston and quality forged rod that will give me 11:1 with stock deck height and un milled heads? Also what kind of power can I expect to make with the bump in compression? And finally is 11:1 doable on 93 octane? Or is 10.5:1 more realistic?

Go with Coyote rods, any flat top piston and mill the heads .020".

Powill only bump up about 10rw over stock.

Now that doesnt even seem worth it for 10rwhp lol. Unless its a stepping stone for future mods.
