good but semi cheap tires 275/40r17.... opinions needed

im looking for a decent tire but not to expensive. i usually run michelin pilot sport a/s plus tires but they are like $225-250 per tire my cost! ive ran them for years but im really looking to spend less.

i was thinking about the sumitomo hrt z2 or the bf goodrich super sports.

what are you guys running for good and cheap?

Just got 4 sumitumo HTR Z 2's and they look good but idk how the tread wear is since they are new. A lot of people I've heard are hit and miss with them.

I have micky Thompson et streets for the back. Only draw back is they SUCK in any kinda water. So I got 4 bfg's so I can drive in all weather. I have 2 extra wheels that match the car for stuff like this

I'd go with Kumho over the 555 any day of the week, I've had a couple sets of 555's never again..

I have the Sumitomo HTRZ III. They're ok, not great. To give you an idea the 60ft I have cut with track prep is 1.9. Generally though (no prep) I usually see 2.1 or 2.2. I autocross as well, and they're a bit slippery. Mostly my car is cruiser though. I probably have a good 4/32 of tread left on them, and I have them on the car for around 15k on them. I would buy them again for the price and what I use my car for. I think I'll try a BFG comp 2 next time though.

Ive got BFG g-force pro-comp 2 on mine, had them on my '99 cobra also for 30k miles before I sold it, no complaints at all. They go for around $120.

I'm running 275/40/17 555's up front and 275/40/17 555R's out back got them for $160 each.
