2007 LS2 Corvette C6
SLP Intake and Flowmaster Exhaust
Everything else stock down to the tires...

vs.

2009 GT500
Upper/Lower Control Arms, Panhard Bar, FRPP Springs
JLT Cold Air w/EVO Tune
Off-Road X w/KR Axle Back
Nitto 305/40/18 DRs

I know the Vettes are pretty fast right out of the box, never raced one though. Don't know what to expect. We're both pretty good drivers too.

i raced on when i was making 580/600 and his had full bolt ons and i pulled him a couple lengths on a 50 mph roll, as long as you keep it cool and dont heat soak it should be a easy win

If you hook AT ALL, and can drive for shit, you'll kill him. When my dad had his GT500 stock, he pulled a c6 corvette bigtime on the highway. It took the vette owner like 4 miles till he crept up and give us the thumbs up. I think the vette let off after the first 4-5 cars :) I know a dig is different, but like said, if you hook at all

You drive, you win! You slip or miss a gear, it may be over with. A little chance you might recover enough to hold him off if you fudge it up.

I don't think I'll need a pulley to be him from a stop. I don't think he'll be able to hook on his Goodyear super slows. We'll see though

More BS - show me one test where stock GT500s beat stock base Vettes.

And from a roll the superior aero of the Vette with its light weight makes a big difference.

I wouldn't think so. Both of you have bascially stock cars.
The GT500 has:

JLT Cold Air w/EVO Tune
Off-Road X w/KR Axle Back
Nitto 305/40/18 DRs

Are you seriously saying that gives him little to no more edge than a stock GT500? :nonono:

Stock for stock, yes, but the GT500 is not stock. If the Vette guy was smart, he'd call him out on a road course :)

Pics of your Z06? Awesome car. When I get back to the States next year, that's going in the garage with the GT500.

Love the Z06 and the ZR1.

C6 LS3 is respectable but not invincible, and the C6 LS2 needed the extra HP (tasted like chicken)....... :lol1:

That is much better. You would do better if you did it from a roll of 30 plus MPH-you will be at full boost all the time-:D

It will be a close one. Since you haven't said it's a Z06, you've got a good chance. (If you can drive) IF IT IS, a Z06, then.... I think you may have your hands full.
