After having great success with 4.56s in my '99 Cobra, I stepped it up and went 4.88 this time around in my 3650-equipped Mach 1. Obviously a better tire is needed out back (NOT all-seasons), but the car likes it. I did notice 2nd gear coming at you pretty quick WOT on the launch, but it's manageable and runs 4th gear to about 113mph or so before getting into redline. Perfect. It also eliminates using 1st gear while driving around town which is nice because I've never liked how any of my 3650 Mustangs shifted into 2nd under normal driving. Notchy, temperamental piece of shit tranny anyway. :lol1:

I'll make my way to the track here eventually this summer. I'm running 295 M/Ts on an otherwise stockish Mach 1 (295whp) and a Baseline Suspensions Street Outlaw setup. Oh, and here is what I'm seeing at 75mph.

Still working on those results. I've just got the base setting dialed in with the suspension and I haven't touched tire pressure yet (keep forgetting to check). I'm guessing around low/mid 20s psi? I can let it rip around 2,500 RPM with little to no tire spin. It gets into power real quick though. I'd really like to get the car to hook around 3,500 RPM on the street. That would be enough to jump out of the gate pretty hard on most cars.

Well there's a reason why those shitty turndowns are on there. I bought the car with TERRIBLE sounding Borla ATAK exhaust. Never in my life would I ever think that I would want to toss a Borla system in the trash. That shit is like SLP LM with a little less rasp. So I tore the Borla off and tossed in some Magnaflows just for the time being until I can do something different. Sadly they are somewhat tame compared to that horrid Borla until you get into the throttle.

Yeah, I'll need some better subframe connectors eventually.

congrats and best of luck with them! I remember some pretty badass videos you had in your cobra from several years ago, just curious - what happened with that car?

Nothing cool. That Cobra changed hands a few times before getting a Terminator swap and never seeing a track. Lame.

That car hooked surprisingly well on the street for being a completely stock IRS car. This Mach 1 solid axle doesn't hook near that good as of right now.
