Being that she is a blue dog democrat (at one time was a republican) and leans more to the right than left..the shooter is probably a far left loon/progressive. She had recently introduced a bill to reduce salaries of the house and senate members by 5%....

looks like the "blaming of the tea party" has already begun. apparently the tea party was very much against this congresswoman and there have been recent incidents including her office vandalized and a gun found at a recent appearance. im not saying it is connected, but theyre mentioning it

Such a terrible tragedy. I'm hoping that the congress woman pulls through and my heart goes out to all of the innocent and precious lives that were lost today due to the recless and evil actions of a lunatic that has a total disregard for the value of a human life. May the evil individual responsible for this unspeakable act of violence recive the swift hand of justice.

I was a mile away from this at a car show when it happened. Didn't hear the shots but heard a bunch of ambulances and saw about 25 cops cars doing 120+ down city streets towards the scene. I knew it was big but didn't think it was this big. Last time I saw something like this was when Office Eric Hite was shot and killed by a young kid.

Thats whats the media has been saying all day. Living in the same city and watching everything she has done for the last 4+ years shes nowhere near the right. But I don't wish death upon anyone unless they are pure evil. If anything, this proved we need more armed citizens. If only someone could of put 20 bullets in his head. They said she was standing in front of the Safeway shopping center talking to a couple about something and the kid walked up, pulled his gun and point black shot her in the head. Then he ran while shooting behind him, witnesses said 15-20 shots were fired.

The news locally was crazy for about 2 hours. Everyone said she was dead. It happened just after 10am and we heard who was shot at 10:55 as we were finishing the car show. They closed the area for a mile in all directions and landed at least 4 helicopters in the middle of the road to take the wounded to the hospital. They also postponed the Arizona Basketball game till tomorrow since University Medical Center was flooded with media, feds, police, etc.

The bullet went through the side of her head, through her brain and exited the other side. Somehow shes alive. I have a buddy who is a guard at the jail. They called him in to escort this guy and when he got there the suspect never showed up. They sent him to the Federal Prison and he never showed up there either. He said they probably have him in a secret location interrogating him
