My wife is on her second Kia Optima TT and they are a fantastic car for the money. I would buy another one in a minute. Plenty of power for the average person and lots of tech, while getting 34mph at 80 on the highway.
Depends on who's tune and fuel, but 93 tune only is typically around 340ish and E30 tune only is closer to 380ish on the SHO. My MKS is about 4415lbs without me in it and a SHO is roughly 100-150lbs lighter. The current fastest Gen4 SHO is 11.3 and the last record holder at 11.54, Mike, is going nuts on his current build. His goal is 1000hp (crank I believe) and to smash the 1/4 mile time if all holds up.Seriously impressive. 430rwhp tune only in a car that weighs 3700ish lbs? Sounds like a monster.
What does a SHO make tune only? If the G70 is that much lighter but putting the same power down it would wallop an SHO Taurus.
Heh Bob.
So is this car the same underpinnings as the Kia stinger?
I’ve not given either brand a lot of attention. We did have a 2013 Kia Sorento, seemed like a nice car little cheap in some areas but we out grew it.

The Genesis is definitely the premium model by design. To add to your assessment the Stinger is also technically a hatchback.Yep. Same. The Stinger is slightly longer with more rear seat room. The Stinger looks more racy with fake hood scoops and more noticeable exterior trim. The interior is slightly different with materials that don't look/feel as nice as the G70. I think the G70 looks more premium. But I'm biased. Price wise, a loaded Stinger GT is the same as a loaded G70 Sport 3.3T.
