gas cap light on

Can't get the light to go off. Checked for loose or missing hoses by gas tank. Replaced gas cap and removed neg. Cable from battery. Let the car sit over night w cable off. code cleared for about 30-50 miles came back on. :shrug:
Any ideas guys???

EVAP system maybe? Check hoses and such under the hood, right side.

If you didn't have it turned off in the tune, yes.

Do you remember what the code was on the scanner?
Edit, you might not. I see that you pulled the battery cable to reset the light.

Can you take a pic of throttlebody area towards rear..

I had an issue with po455/457...evap leak with gas cap lite..

2 hoses on evap solenoid will go bad from gas fumes and cause leak. .

Another is the routing of hoses..was anywork done where hoses were removed

I won't be home till the evening to take a picture of the t/b.

The only hoses were removed were the egr vaccum tree. Hes one of the best over here in snj so I'm sure its done right. But I'll call he later to double check
