Fuel pump wire upgrade help

Seems like all the directions I have come across include the installation of a BAP along with the wiring upgrade. Has anyone done just the wire upgrade without a BAP?

I can't seem to find any links for directions here

for just a wire upgrade to the pump, add a 10 or even 8 gauge wire on the brown/pink stripe wire from the FPDM to the tophat on the tank. You can piggyback it off the brown/pink wire so you are using both.
