Guys & Gals,

I recently reinstalled my fuel tank after converting to a return style fuel system and seemed to have misplaced the screw that holds the clamp to the tank. I have gone to the dealer, but their system does not show a screw in the filler neck assembly. Can someone please tell if a screw is actually supposed to go there, and if so please provide pictures. If you are feeling really generous and could provide some general dimensions of the screw so I could source my own replacement that would be greatly appreciated.

Yes a screw goes there. It's a course sheet metal screw. Looks like 1/4" diameter and 3/8" long.

Roy, thats different than mine. Mine is a super short little sheet metal screw. Interesting.

That is very interesting. Personally I’d slam a stubby little self tapper in there and call it a day as it’s not a piece that’s easily visible.
