What’s the best upgrades to improve the front suspension with the 03-04? I have a 03 vert. So far I upgraded the front sway bar and installed H&r springs. And did a full mm grip kit for the rear irs. Just wanted to see what else I can do to the front without changing out the k member. Would it be worth it to change out the front control arms and install a bump steer kit?

Sub frame connecters will make the biggest improvement. Solid rack bushings help too. bump steer kit will only be noticeable if you really track the car hard, on the street, you will not notice any change. A good alignment will make the car handle better too.

Forgot to mention car has sub frame connecters as well. Thanks for the feedback waiting for spring to get a good alignment on the car

Not planning to track it. Just a weekend summer car but want it to ride well and look good underneath too I’m weird like that. Was thinking of replacing the shocks and struts with billstein b8s and doing a big Baer brake kit for looks and stopping power

I noticed a good difference in front end stiffness after replacing the front control arms (bushings were bad), and installing the solid rack bushings, poly sway bar bushings and end links. Etc. I think mine was so noticeable because of how wore out everything was.

I have yet to put my subframe connectors on but I had them on my other vert and they made a huge difference.

Bump steer kit is a waste for 99% of us. Small stuff like bushings will really only be noticed if the current stuff if bad or wore out. I did poly sway bar bushings and didn't really notice a big difference. Even though one was so bad it was clunking. I did notice a difference going to solid steering rack bushings, but my originals had 100k.

I wouldn't bother with control arms. Especially if you're staying with the stock spring location.

Seconding those endlinks, they really change the feel.

Anyone done the Maximum Motorsports or Stifflers strut bar on a vert?

Stock sub frames or aftermarket? Stock are nearly useless. Try jacking the car up by them and you will see what I mean. They will push right to the floor of the car. I'm running Hans Race Craft connectors on mine with jacking rails, and it made a huge difference. They are similar to the Stifflers connectors.

I did the solid rack bushings and A-arms bushings and it helped a lot. Also did HD Bilsteins on all 4 corners as they pair well with the H&R Race Springs.

Coil overs up front for sure, you can run a lower spring rate to achieve the same wheel rate and keep the same ride height thus having a better ride while keeping the handling where you want it.

I second this.

If you don't mind a little increase in NVH get some global west delrin control arm bushings. They will make the front end feel more precise and allow the A arms to articulate better. Pricey but worth it IMOP.

My car actually rode nicer over smooth pavement with them.

HDs? Are those the same as the b8s? I think my rear shock is bad so was thinking of getting b8s all around with front struts

Thanks man ya I’ve seen the mm recommendations before just confused between stock ones compared to b6 and b8. I think my rear shock is out so was thinking of replacing the whole kit

Yeah man, it can get confusing with all the numbers and valve combos. I just used the MM chart.

I went with the HD’s on all four corners with the H&R Race springs and I love it. Car stays really flat in the corners and the drop is conservative.
