as far as Friday the 13th goes, i've yet believe it holds any water whatsoever.
The closest thing to a superstition that i've seen actually affect people would be full moons. It's proven by both the OB/GYN floors as well as the ER patient counts to play a huge role. There's a far-out science to it that included the moon's gravity changing, ETC but reguardless, it's almost a proven fact. People are affected by it.
