ecoboost swap? they are just starting to show up in the auto recycling/junk yards. im sure you could find one and thorw it in.

or

3v + blower or nitrous....??? just trying to see something out of the ordinary

Go with a 6.0l truck series ls. Iron block, super strong and they are cheaper than dirt in the salvage yards. Ive literally seen complete engines with 50k miles for $800-900 dollars. :dw: Even with the cost of the wiring harness, sensors, motormounts, trans adapters...etc you will still be underbudget compared to any ford engine that makes the same power. Its a no brainer.


Another alternative would be a 5.3l. If you can find an aluminum one that will be even better.

I really do appreciate all of the suggestions, however my budget is quite minimal. Not sure I can swing a big budget swap.

Thanks again for the ideas.

....expenses aside, I'd definitely do a Coyote swap. ...but not sure that'll happen.

I would definitely go the 5.0 route from the options. There's nothing wrong with "cross breeding" though. Especially if you're having a hard time finding a 5.0.
