Mixture of a few things:

1: High altitude in Montana. I'm not in the mountains, but it's still not close to sea level.

2. 115,000 miles.

3. Shitty track prep.

4. Street tires.

5. It's an auto, and a convertible.

6. The non-PI GTs are slow. It's no secret. The 96 and 97 4.6s had 215 hp stock, and the 98 got a 10 horseboost.

7. 2.73s in the rearend. 4.11s are to come.

8. Newb driver. This is the first car I've ever dragraced. This Friday will be the 3rd time I've ever raced at a dragstrip as well as the third time ever being at one. I am improving though. My best on the first trip was a 16.2.


Even if it's slow, it still makes me smile everyday.

yea, nothing can compare to having a sweet sounding V8, even if it is slow. When I had a fast V6, I would have traded it for a slower GT in a heartbeat

Your car has 3.23s unless someone changed them out. I told you that before...

Why did everyone miss this gem of a statement?

"Car was dyno'd in Oklahoma City at 446 rwhp and 452 torque before the blower was added." IT HAS A STOCK BLOWER!

Yeah 3.27s lol. My bad. Been a while since Ive had the stang. Im using to saying 3.42s now lol.

All 96-04 stangs came with 3.27s. Im pretty sure the 94-95 did also but could be wrong.

wrong again dude. the later new edge gt's and cobras had 3.55's in the rear.

Referring to GT's. And no, newer GT's had 3.27s. The Cobras did have 3.55s though.

wrong new edge gt's did NOT have 3.55's my 02 5speed had 3.27's, maybe the autos had something different?

I think he meant the pulley's :shrug:

I'm calling him today for a friend and I'm going to find out.

03-04 cobra's have 3.55's. Everything else V8 came with 3.27's. Stick OR auto.
