Found this disconnected/burnt slightly at rear of car. What is it? Smells like gas slightly.

Is this a vent tube for gas tank? Found it laying on the exhaust. Should I just zip tie it out of the way? Car has a fore fuel system return style. Thanks.

Does the filler neck still have the vent hose that connects to the side in place? IIRC the tubes that run over the top of the tank to connect the vents are a hard plastic and don't have the plastic cover like that.

Not sure. Detailer sent me that. Is this even necessary line with the aftermarket fuel system?

It is part of EVAP/purge canister for the gas tank. On the drivers side, front lip of the tank is where that will plug in. It should be plugged in regardless of being return fuel system or not. You should not even have to drop the tank to plug it back in.

Top right of this picture shows where it goes.
