I've wanted a Heritage model since I first saw them. But at the time I couldn't afford one.

Now suddenly they have shot up in price so much I can't afford one again.

I might have to get my name changed to TREYNOR and scam someone with one:-D

I wonder what it would cost to just buy one with a crappy color and a lot of mile and have it painted?

Not the thread jack here but I figured it would be better to piggy back your thread on Mecum's instead of starting another one for every other car that hits big.

Just seconds ago a 2011 Super Snake (blue on black stripes) went for 70K.

Commentary on the car was pretty good. Talked about Shelby quite a bit as well in the few minutes they had.

Quote: "That's a BAD looking car, with the power to back it up".

There's an all original Boss 429 that is expected to get over 500K.

DAMN :pop:

I think those go tomorrow no?

I believe the lots get pricier by the day. A lot of sub 50K cars on THU night. Tonight had plenty going for upwards of 100K.

Lotus Exige (non-street-legal version) went for 110K I believe.

The 1969 BOSS 429 just sold for 550K

It was all original. Even had the 'original' sticker in the window. Commentators said it is the best condition all original 1969 ever sold.

As I drooled, I heard a litany of "Don't even think about it" from my wife. For some strange reason, she values a roof over her head over a Ford GT.

I missed most of the Mecum auction yesterday. Dang! That is big money for the Heritage Ford GT. Love them! But what I REALLY missed was the '69 Boss 429 auction. $550K! Awesome!

Even if I had the money to buy a car for 500k+ I dont think I would ever.

Everything is relative. If you were a multimillionaire $500K for a car is just a place to park your money.

Might seem odd, but some people have so much money they don't know what to do with it all.

What you have might make you seem rich to others.
