For those who have tinted windows, do you highly recommend ceramic over regular tint?

@CobraBob - Ask if your installer will take cash if you want to save a little. Guy I use, I'll get a flat rate using cash vs paying taxes and whatnot.

You're good then. All of my windows are tinted. But I don't have them limo dark. Just enough to get down the sun.

You'll have to come out again sometime, but in October so you can meet Glenn.
I'd love to meet Glenn. Unfortunately, October is a tough time for me to take vacation. We'll see what happens next year.

Thanks for the suggestion.

So I had my windows ceramic tinted yesterday (35% on the sides and rear, and 50% on the windshield). I'm extremely pleased with the work and the overall look. Only negative was that I had to drive to the shop and from the shop in a bad rain storm. First time my G-70 has seen rain, so she was a bit confused. :ROFLMAO:

Here are a few photos from yesterday as she sits in the garage soaking wet. I have to wash her in about 20 minutes and then I'll take a couple of photos outside.

Both of mine are Oakleys too. Hmm...
I'm wearing polarized Oakleys and have ceramic tint on my wrx and don't have any issues. I do see the ghost image on other cars windows when I'm driving but not on my windows. Ceramic is the way to go, I still need to do the windshield though.

With having a white vehicle and ceramic tint, where ever you are use to running your A/C at in the summer, get ready to bump it up 2 or 3 degrees. You will be able to tell a difference.

Your floor looks really good too.

…at least not until June.
I figured it out - my aviators are not polarized..
Typically polarized lenses are a better choice than tinted - but if your windows are tinted, I have my doubts.

Polarized lenses cause this rainbow effect.

"Polarized lenses can sometimes cause a rainbow or pattern effect to appear on your windows, especially in your car. This is even more likely if you have tinted windows."

Wow I was literally about to come here and ask a window tint question. Not to hi-jack the thread but I just had my windows tinted 3 states away (stupid I know) and when I got home I realized there is a bubble thing at the bottom that is not going away. It has been at the bottom for weeks now. I pushed it out with a credit card 4 or 5 times and it comes back in an hour or two. Anyone know how to fix this? The place that did it is a many hour drive away.

Steady hand and an exacto knife.
