foglight mod Question?

Okay, find the #2 wire (white/black) and the #12 wire (brown) that is attached to the connector and splice them together. That's it! No cutting needed! Don't forget to electrical tape/insulate your splice well.


can someone please explane this to me. :shrug: :bash:

when your running lights are on your fogs will be on to. also when your headlights are on your fogs will be on.....no more pulling out the knob for the fogs to come on.

this makes it sound real easy to do and i am going to try it

Anyone know if this will this work on my 99 expy as well? It doesnt have the autolamp feature, but I'd like to have the fogs on with the corner lights.

Yes, but you might have to run a ground from the switch to the body. Let me check the EVTM and I'll PM you the diagram.

By doing this, as long as the lights are on your fog lights are on correct?
You can't shut them off and just run the headlights can you?

Ive got pulled over for running my fogs before. "It impairs the other drivers line of site" So if I do this mod I will be screwed if it IS in fact illegal

Ok I did this mod, and now I can run my high beams with my fog lights. This is not what I wanted. What I would like to just my fog lights to be on. How can I achive this?

look throught the how to section here i think Chris Nelson had a write up to modify the switch allowing you to pull it out all all positions except for the off one and they would still go off with the high-beams on.
