I went the 1st time about a month ago, I had hop, that is until I got a burnout, after that I made 10 more passes and no hop. Make sure you heat the tires.

it'll take time to learn how to launch these with IRS. just practice makes perfect its all about the launch. should be high 12s on a good pass.

update: i got 2 passes in last night. first pass (first pass ever drag racing) i went 12.904 at 111.56 with a 2.12 60 and a .345 r/t. second pass 13.127 at 111.68 with a 2.374 60 and a .103 r/t. first pass i heated the radials up a little bit and it hooked well, second pass i decided to skip it and lost 2 tenths out of the box. was pretty happy with the way the car ran, being 110 degree track temp. thanks for your guys input!

Seems like good times. Most stock cobras out here (2000ft elevation) run 13.0-13.5 with a decent driver on street tires. Chip and pulley cobras with drag radials usually run in the 12s out here with a good driver.

And you should be. You had a great first experience. Your time slips will now only get better with experience. Glad you had a good time. :)
