Ok well I have a 2001 cobra. Its stock besides a full exhaust and a short throw sifter. I took 7 runs down the track on bald street tires. Fist run was a 16.4 I spun the whole track. Well I took a few more and got a 13.729. I'm pretty happy with this being my first time at the track and having a stock 01 with street tires. I will post my 60 ft when I find my time slips. But what do yall think about these times? Remember I'm 17 so don't be to mean lol

First run-

60-2.394
330-7.199
1\8-10.985
mph-66.58
1000-14.048
1\4-16.491
mph-93.95

Last run-

330-5.932
1\8-8.951

Good runs times. Your 60ft looks like mine on street tires, about 2.1xx. I had the same mods you had and with DR's I hit 13.3 with a 1.9 60ft. Its hard to get off the line with street tires. Some people get better results with slipping the clutch till it grabs. I never had any luck with that.

Thanks I have 245 on the rear right now. I already ordered a set of 275 street tires so Im going to throw them on there for now. But after I get some more power Im going to get some mt streets. Its pretty dang scary spinning the hole track lol

Unfortunately 275's arent going to be much better. What will help is having tons of tread on them but they are still a street tire. I had 315's at one point with about 40% tread left and they spun like no bodies business. I now have 255's on the rear with around 80% tread and I hook better.

MM&FF and one other mag tested 99's to 13.4

Still good times for the first time out OP

I believe Car and Driver or MotorTrend lists the 99 Cobra as 5.4 0-60 and 13.9 1/4?

Those are too slow and i think the result of the 'missing HP"

The 01 runs 4.8 0-60 and 13.5(?) 1/4. Those numbers are much closer to what a 99 should run..Same HP and essential same set-up between 99 and 01..

Should just order NT555R's (275 for the back). Don't cost much more than street tires especially if you get them off of AM... They theoretically last 10-15k miles and a pretty good at the track.... I don't need to turn off my traction control anymore...unless it's raining :nonono:

yea im not sure which other magazine it was but i remember when they pitted the mach1 and cobras against each other in MM&FF they ran the best times of 13.2 for the mach and 13.3 for the cobras

are they hard to put in your self? I know my way around a car but would it be better to just pay someone? If so whats the average cost for the install?
