Finally scored an 1:4 scale Aluminator model

I've had a saved Ebay search for this for over a year and this one just came up last week. I received it today and it's in mint condition. I was powder coating my valve covers Ford Racing Blue soon anyway so this will now be a perfect little model of my engine.

My DSG Maisto from Glenn (Black Gold 380R) is in there for scale.

I'm still looking for an Aluminator so I could pair it up with this one.

That's freaking awesome Jim!!!! I would love to collect those motors, but with a $700 to $1000 price tag it's a little rich for my blood. They are bad@$$ for sure though!

The upside is that it is doubtful you'll lose money because there's a continual demand for both the regular and Aluminator versions and the prices are holding pretty steady. The biggest problem might be where you display it, due to it's size.

I did not see that one! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? I picked up the Aluminator for $300 with shipping which I thought was a good deal.

I love the Aluminator also. I agree with the resale also. I bought my first 1/4 scale for $600 and it was broken (the seller didn't disclose). I fixed it and sold it for $600 after I bought my second one for $275 (seller didn't know what he had). I sold the second one for over $800 when I sold my convertible last year. Now I have this one so you are correct, the really do hold their value.

Thanks Glenn. It looks great next to the car you painted for me. I got lucky and picked this one up for $300 shipped. It takes a lot of hunting but they are out there. Now I just need to paint the valve covers and supercharger on the Maisto to match!!!

That's a great price considering the normal market value.
