I took my Ported eaton car to the track friday night. I went 7.06 @ 103 mph with high 1.6 to 1.7 60ft times. No nitrous. My slicks are wore out, the dimples are gone. Going to buy new slicks soon Im running the stock 3.55 gears and was thinking of going to a 28 tall tire instead of a 26's any suggestions ?

Thats a crazy 1/8 mph for a ported car! Hell i run 6.8s in the 1/8 but only trap 99-100. Get some 28x10.5 ET Drag stiff walls, you wont regret it.
I figure the car is picking up mph from spinning but do you think the 28's will work out with the 3.55 gears? I have seen some of these guys with 60s in the 1.40s with the eaton. I just have never been able to aquire those 60 times on the eaton only.
Most excellent Slayer! That's a solid 10.9 most likely. The new slicks should definitely help. I ran 28's with 3.55's and hit 10's both times I had that combo at the track. The tires that John mentions will certainly work. It would probably be a little better combo if you went 3.73's with the 28's, but won't be a huge difference despite what you might hear.

I usually cut high 1.4x sixties Eaton only, but i do run 4.10 gears and launch at 5500 and my suspension is setup fairly well.
What track do you go to down there in Cleveland?

That's a Solid MPH. Best 60 my car had was a 1.50x, and fastest pass was 7.1 @ 101 on a ported eaton. I Personally feel the 28’s would be too much for 3.55’s, but then again people seem to make it work. I ran 28’s but was also running 4.10’s leaving @ 5500, car would leave pretty nice

Yeah I personally was thinking 28's would be toomuch with the gear but some people say it works good. Its a SRA. I would go with 4.10s but I dont really know how it would react on spary my other car loved 3.73s and 28's on spray.

I see, well if you're going to spray the car just try the 28's with the 3.55's. If you don't like it just switch over... :beer:
What race weight are you guys at to run 6.80s with the eaton ? mine weighs in at 3550 with me in it. I am only 150lbs.

What do you run 1/4 mile? I havent had mine to a 1/4 mile track yet. Do you run yours on spray with the 4.10 and 28's or do you spray it at all?
You are just a good 60' away from running in that range! Get that suspension dialed in and let it eat!
Congrats! 3.55's with 28's here and I'm unported. Usually cut mid 1.5x 60fts
10.7-10.8 @ 126-128 and the car has never been sprayed, it crosses the line around 6300.
