Finally found my Cobra replacement.

Well I finally found a sports car I like enough to replace my Cobra. I sold my 2003 Cobra back in Sept of 2008 and my garage has been empty ever since. I looked at the 2011 GT500, but couldnt get any of the dealerships here locally or within 500 miles to work with me on the price. best deal was $1K off MSRP (OTD price was around $55K).

I ordered this on the 5th of May and will be picked up this Friday. Here is the link to where it sits on the NCM floor. I Haven't seen this color combo on a coupe yet. My options include, 2LT, NPP exhaust, Comp gray wheels, Museum delivery, and Hertiage package. Interior is ebony w/ titanium inserts. I'm still undecided on the fender hash marks, those might still make their way to the trash can. Oh and the best part, car will get an A&A Vortech kit installed right after 4th of July weekend.

They stage the cars for delivery a week early at the Corvette Museum lobby. There are 8 webcams that allow the family members to watch the delivery of the car from the web.

My wife spent yesterday playing the..."someone touched your car and there are fat ladies resting on your car...game".

There will be a few sleepless nights until Friday morning, but I can't stop looking at it...:beer:

Since the car is a grand sport I would never peel the grandsport stripes off, and IMO I love the way they look. But to his, his own. Awsome looking car. Keep us updated with pics once you get it!
