Factory shift light with mycolor, daytime?

So I have searched all around the forum and can't find a certain answer.

My tach turns red just prior to redline, but only when the headlights are on. It does not during the day. Tried it several times today.

And searching online I find conflicting anwers, some people agree that it's only at night, others say theirs does it all the time no matter what?

My car has a steeda tune, don't know if that would effect it.

Anyone have any experience, that can help me out?

I am pretty sure the lights have to be on for it to work..

Mine goes off during the day with no lights on.. if your gauges are already red (my color) then it won't go off anytime.

Well mine are set to blue....strange

It would make sense that if your gauges are red it might not be as noticeable when you red line with the lights on. I would like to know as well.

I have only seen mine work at night. Everytime I see it though its to late. It would be nice if it lit up sooner.

I havent noticed it during the day. I only see it go red at night.
