Hmmm, not very many people gonna turn down big bux to join the Army, I know I would not do it.

It was a honorable thing to do, I just hate that he and others like him are being killed in this BS war.

WTF. Save your judements for another thread.

This story is sad. But I do not think he is any different than the others who have given their lives to protect this country,

What these brave soldiers do is incredible. My condolences go to each soldier's family. I cannot even imagine the pain they feel....

 What I think it's done though is brought back a sense of patriotism to this country. ? But I agree 1000 percent ! :( ! I hope they stomp out the last remants of al qaeda and get home safe ! Let's leave the politics out of it ! Too all the other 700 soldiers who have given there life in Afghanistan and Iraq ! My prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends. And this was a great story ! Just hate to see it end like this. Never did it to make himself look better ! Did it because he wanted to serve his country !

Pat Tillman won my respect the day he enlisted.I remember the story broke a few years ago about him turning down Arizona to enlist. Simeon Rice, a former teammate, basically $hit on the guy for doing it while interviewing with Jim Rome. Rome went along and had fun with it as well. I bet both those guys feel like complete a$$es now.

Prayers for the Tillman's and every other family with relatives serving over seas.

Rome was trying to give Simeon Rice a way out. Jim Rome didn't go along with him. Simeon Rice should do a world a favor much like the other pompus ass piece of shit overpaid piles of garbage. Simeon Rice is an ass and trust me if he comes to cincy i'll have a nice sign of him getting bent over by Bin Laden or something like that ! :fm: Shit fires me up !

I doubt Simeon Rice even gives a shit. He'll prolly take a trip in one of his bentleys and screw a couple more overpriced hookers and snorted some coke off there ass ! He will prolly not even care ! I mean he's above the normal human beings ! Let's just hope he gets hit by a car or something !

"He really wasn't that good, not really," Rice said. "He was good enough to play in Arizona, [but] that's just like the XFL."

After several more promptings from Rome, Rice allowed, "I think it's very admirable, actually. You've got to give kudos to a guy like that because he did it for his own reasons. Maybe it's the Rambo movies, maybe it's Sylvester Stallone, Rocky, whatever compels him."

Damn.

I know us in Arizona were all proud of him, when we learned what he did a couple of years ago.

Football heroes? There's one for ya. They should name the new Cardinal Stadium after him.

I'm buying his Jersey if I can find one ! :) ! Not just him but all rangers and milatary is the only reason that makes me smile about paying taxes !

Sad to hear. My respect goes to this guy, not of because of the decision that he made, but because he followed his heart. He didnt care about money, but did what he felt in his heart to do. I could say that I hope every terrorist SOB would be caught and delt with but as how I see it would be impossible to do. The U.S. is dealing with an enemy that has so much hatred towards the U.S. . They think that the U.S. is the devil and that the U.S. wants to take over. All this ignorance comes from their religous believes. I dont care what any one says, but Islam is bad, very bad. Like I tell my wife how can someone kill for God or in the name of God. What makes them think God will accept that. Obviously we dont worship the same God. My God is of love and peace.
