Engine pulling air/coolant continues to bubble

Hello guys, long story short a few months ago i bought a 04 cobra with 111k on the clock, with exhaust, pully and some sct tuner.
i took the car to a local shop to get it tuned and at the same time to replace the oil and spark plugs.
I picked up the car and drove it home about 10 miles of driving it i noticed the temp gauge climing slowly... i was able to make it home, but when i pulled up the coolant was boiling and splashing out form the overflow bottle.
then i added some coolant but the car would overheat 5 minutes after driving it.
came back home let it cool off and then i burp the system, but this time i saw lil oil on the coolant :( i thought the head gasket right?
then i took the car to the shop to get it checked out, they replaced the coolant and the oil cooler 0ring since the test they did came back fine meaning the head gasket was fine, no coolant on oil, and no more oil in the coolant, but the engine keeps pulling air and the bubbles wont go away.
They said that when the engine builds pressure it doesnt do it like if the gasket was bad.
now they dont know what the hell is going on, and i dont either.

Any input, any ideas????.

Thanks in advance!

You need to fill from the crossover. Search for the procedure on how to burb these cars. It takes a little finesse to get it done right.

Just went thru this.. been running hot..

burping these I find easy..

this time I did the funnel on cross over while engine running..

bubbles were slow till engine got hot than spit up

I thought wtf head again

during testing..if I ran water into front of radiator car wouldnt run hot..

however on your issue.. you have someone else doing the work..

my issue was the radiator not cooling..bubbles were from coolant boiling vs air..

do you have the hand held sct tuner? You can use that to see coolant temp..

this site can walk you thru testing..

replacing radiator is also very easy..

What exactly am I supposed to check with it???
I can borrow one..

Thanks

You might be able to use instument cluster..

you can see temp in digital form..

you can see temp the fans come on..

with a tuner you can change them..

what issue are you having now with car home..

over heats just idling..

or

overheat idling with ac on

Every one burps different. .

me..

engine cold..
fill at radiator slowly till full
Remove burp plug
fill at burp till it comes out of radiator.
Install rad cap finger tight
fill at plug till full
install plug finger tight
start car
run till fan comes on.
shut off

let sit 5mins

slowly open radiator cap

when cap is off..repeat steps. .

after this you should be fine. .

mine is driven daily..

I have found this to always work..

if issues after this..

read your car

fluid leaking? A leak is a weaker point than blowing out cap.it will blow out leaking area .

white smoke or steam out exhaust when hot..engine running or for 1st 3mins after shut down

..

mine was radiator not cooling enough..

I found when testing if I put garden hose into radiator my temps were low.

I didnt have big fan to try more air flow..

rad was original..I just posted thread asking if anyone had cooling issues on the new head..

we all know these have head cooling issues

The car has some sort of cooling head mode that appears to be installed wrong, and it didn't have a thermostat. .why? Who knows.
New thermostat in it and overheats right away.
They are taking the head cooling crap off and run it the factory way and go from there.

Some drill a hole in tstat..small 1/8 helps to pass air pocket..

Being I do all my own work.. if I was to help you.

1st thing I do is a compression test on all 8 cyls

I had a crack causing cyl 7 to slowly lose coolant.. that cyl showed 30lbs lower on test

it cost alot to throw parts at trying to fix

Man, some of you guys really work hard to get your system bled.
I fill thru the crossover until it starts to puke, replace plug.
Fill coolant tank to the hot fill mark.
Start engine and wait for fan to come on, turn engine off and drink a beer.
When finished with said beverage, i check level in tsnk , add as needed.
Drive car for 1/2 hour, usually a trip that will bring me back home, shut it off, grab some munchies , put my tools away .
After maybe a half hour to hour , recheck level.
Has been this way since i got my 01 cobra in my 91 coupe .
