Go 11:1 regardless of boost or NA, get with Todd about pistons.

I am waiting on the shop to finish the engine for my Mach 1. I went JE domed pistons 11:1, Gen 2+ Coyote rods, stock crank, Todd’s cams and springs. I plan on 650-700hp with E85 using a Vortech V1 Ti.

If the rods say bye-bye, I will rebuild with Molnar rods, Shelby Mike timing stuff, and spin to 8k after the rebuild and pulley to max the blower.

Why not do this instead of waiting for failure? Just curious.

Because I should be fine at 650-700 reap with the rods. Plus it is real world data for “budget” builds.

At this point, I am not looking for max effort.

Well, the motor apart during inspection found 3 spun rods was going to have the crank turned but runout on the cranks is out of spec.

Sooo Going with a 5.0 Liter FORGED Stroker Kit 4V Manley 0cc Flattop should put me at 11.1 CR
I think it will run fine on pump gas.

Now for the fun part...
What HP do you all think I will come close to??

Kooks LT 3" collectors and X pipe full 2 1/2 exhaust
Todd Warren spec cams N/A
65 MM bbk
#30 injectors
90mm Lightning MAF
Mach 1 and Fox.jpg

I may step up the injectors and tune for the E

Sounds like a killer combo. Keep us posted on your progress. Going to order my stroker kit Friday.

Ya this is my first Mach 1 I have had several Cobras, but I'm really liken that shaker...
Yeah, the Shaker is the one feature that really sets the Mach 1 out amongst the Mustangs. And why many wanted to see a Shaker hood on the new (2021-2023) Mach 1, even though it just didn't look great on that one. Your Mach is really coming along nicely. Great attention to the details!

N/A with maybe shot of the go baby go juice... And drive it.
Then I agree with the 11:1. The engine should be able to stand that even on pump gas. Since you're staying N/A then I'd add ported heads and intake to the budget. They'll wake up with that stroker set up.

Well, I ordered my 5.0 forged stroker kit .020 over Manley flat tops pistons, H beam rods, king bearings from ModMax Racing.
This combo should put me somewhere around 11.1 CR

I will use ARP handwear and have the rotating assembly balanced.
Kook LT 3" Kooks x pipe Todd Waren spec N/A cams. 65mm BBK TB #30 injectors 90mm maf sensor

When all said and done, I'll need some help with a good tune for the street.
Should be a good street combo.

Started on a cleanup/ports on a brand-new set of heads I have been saving for this day.
