My car has come a long way and I am ALMOST there! (but will I ever say I am done perfecting it?)

The day I brought it home

I am very happy with the current state of my engine bay, a few more tweaks and it'll be where I want it until I build the motor and put a hair dryer in there

arayray,
That looks excellent!! Really cleaned things up and the green pops. The green cobra is a very nice touch to tie everything together. The more I see it the COP conversion is worth it to clean the engine bay up. Keep it up, the car is looking great.

Looks good! makes me want to do the COP conversion. Worth it?

Just purely looks wise, I believe it is! If I could do it over, I'd get Mark8 COPS that keep the breather holes in the stock location though.

Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words, I can't wait to see where I take this. I am leaning towards building a matching tow vehicle (F100) to trailer it

It's doing great, taking her to the track tomorrow. Also in the process of making a short runner intake as well

One question, how did you and how long did it take to paint the intake plaque, I want to do mine in yellow to match the rest of the engine compartment, and not have it the factory blue. The blue silicone will become black too.

I actually painted two of them, I accidentally bent the first one. It's not hard at all to do, it will take you 30 mins tops! Here's how I did it:

Use a scotch-brite pad over the whole plaque and try to get down in the hard to reach spots
Once you do that just get your paint and a very fine paint brush and literally pool the paint into the areas of the cobra, it will flatten out and spread out.
Once you do the whole cobra, let it dry and then do it over again until you are happy with the coverage and then tape off the sticky tape on the back side and spray clear coat over it. For good measure, I used double sided tape to secure mine back onto the intake!

The key to it is figuring out how to pool the paint into the little areas on the cobra!
