Howdy folks.

. I have looked at most of the posts in the forums on doing the delete or modifying the system. None of the posts I have seen deal with the KB, just the Eaton. I don't know if there is a plumbing difference between Eaton and KB EGR Vacuum systems. Any thoughts? I'm learning as I go.

Does anyone have a line on a modded mustang friendly inspection shop? I am looking into "reinstalling the system" vs. reinstalling the system. I would like to avoid putting it all on and having to re-tuning the car. The performance shop down south that initially did work on the vehicle warned of reinstalling the EGR without a tune.

The car doesn't throw any codes on the SCT tuner. Anyway, if y'all know someone, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I hear there is a good shop in Silver Spring, but sounds like they are in high demand.

Any opinions on mounting the EGR and stringing the plumbing without actually hooking it up? If there are no codes being thrown, there is no indication that it is not actually installed, right?

What does Maryland look for exactly? Just codes or are they checking readiness monitors? Arizona checks both. Like Cats, EGR, AC, Evap, etc

If its the latter you will need to re-install it or find an electrical genius that can trick the ecu into thinking its still on there

First off, that is insanity. Alignment readings? Seriously? How long does all that take?

Our emissions lasts about 2 minutes once you are in the building. Codes, readiness monitors and gas cap is all they look at

25 is where you might get hung up but it depends on their process. Nothing there says anything about readiness monitors so it doesnt sound like they plug into your OBDII. If they do, they will see Not Ready for EGR. I cant imagine they go through all that and dont plug their computer in to check it. If it is visual you might be able to put enough back on to make it look like its all there.

Hopefully someone who has passed without it chimes in

I took my 03 to a small shop today and they let the egr delete slide. They failed me because of the tint and having no cats though.

F that nonsense, I love Florida! Best they did here was emissions sniffer. Not enough failures to fund the stations so they discontinued after about 3 years.

Yup I paid a guy 150$ got my ticket and the car never left Jersey until I went and picked it up. The whole process took me a whopping two days from calling the bank to picking up the car. Maybe that's why the loan specialist looked at me a bit funny! Haha MD. Sucks for sure Emmisions is a whole nother deal but I seem to swing through it.
