Ebay auction, is it a 95 or 96 Cobra

well the vin says its not a 96-98 but hell if its got the 4 vavle in it. i would pay 5 for it. not much more cause i have no idea what has gone on with that car.
Something is wrong here and I would stay clear. That is indeed a DOHC engine, but if the VIN says it's not a 96-98, there is something up.
Why would you swap out the 5.0 for the DOHC unless something happened? If it were a serious modder that did the swap...you would assume there would be many more mods along with it. Just be cautious.

To me, it looks like a 96-98 with the wrong tail lights. But, then you get into the whole deal with the VIN number.... it's all sorts of stupid.
Maybe they stole the pictures from somewhere and it's a scam. Honestly, who lists their car with the wrong engine?

its not even a 94-95 cobra. vin on 93-95 the motor code is D not T like it is listed
see i didnt know the vin letter for the 93-95 cobras. i know the SN-95s 8th letter has to be a V or its a fake. but i will put this info under the rest of trival mustang matters.
That is a 95. The Front was most likely wrecked and replaced with 96-98 parts. Look at the rear of the car you notice the back is different than the 96-98s. The tail lights are also from a 94 95.

ALL '95 Cobra Verts were black, with a black top, and had saddle leather interior (stock). Read the book. That Mustang on E-Bay is no friggin '95 Cobra.

^^^Yep exactly what he said. The guy selling it is a complete idiot and knows nothing. That car has been completly redone. I wouldn't go near it. Only reason I'd buy it would be for a parts car, nothing more.
yup, you beat me to it. and its not a 94, all of those were red. And it has a 96-98 trunklid with a regular spoiler, not the crab claw one. The motor is also missing the "handbuilt" sticker on the valve cover, crate motor anyone? Cobra's also NEVER came with those stripe things on the doors. Not sure on the truth to this, but I have been told those came on rental cars only originally. I believe the seats to be 96-98's as well. They are differnet aren't they? Last thing, then Ill stop picking this car to bits, it DOES have the CObra steering wheel. IF ti was ina front end collision, the guy who did the work new to put on the cobra steering wheel to make it close to authentic. I wonder if it has proper brakes. Someone email this guy and ask for front wheel pictures.

I am emailing every bidder and lettign them know this car is a fraud.

the taillights are SALEEN units if you look closely at the inside(trunk) edges. the side trim was a 25 dollar option on v6-GT stangs, never seen a cobra with it. the guages are right for a dohc cobra, look at tach. a 96 engine has the sticker with names not metal plate so many have been washed off over years. metal came end 97. to me it looks like a 96 with saleen tails and a washed off tag. never looked at the vin though.
135,000 on my 96 and my tag is still on there.

That car has the biggest identity crisis i have ever seen.
Lets count the problems:
