I'm running a 4 pound lower/2.7 upper pulley combo and subsequently switched the stock alternator pulley for a 3.2" Metco a few years ago. Because of a dumbass mistake mentioned in a separate thread, I fried my alternator this weekend and need to replace it. I remember that when I replaced the alternator a few years ago, I had a helluva time swapping the 3.2 pulley out with the stock one the new alternator came with.

Before I attempt this again, is there an easy way to swap the pulleys with no special tools?

Impact. Even the cheap electric ones from Harbor Freight can do it. Buy it, use it, return it. I did this on vacation one yr with my car.
