The "swap" is a complete bigger fuel system, correct?
And a retune. The "swap" is a complete bigger fuel system, correct?
Sounds good. You won't be dissapointed. :thumbsup:I have been thinking of doing this conversion for a while now since I seen an article in either MM&FF or 5.0&FF a year or two back. Due to ok E85 availability in my area, I will mainly run the E85 as my main tune and have a secondary 91/93 tune for when E85 is nowhere to be found and for winter storage...for now, I'll continue to collect all the needed pieces to this E85 puzzle. :-D
That should be plenty of injector and pump. Yes, you would need to just drain the fuel and refill and retune. Then watch in amazement as you see more power! :rockon:i have a aeromotive eleminator pump with - 10 forward and a - 6 return with 96lbs injectors feeding my 3.4 whippled 5.4 with 22lbs of boost. do you think thats enough injector? do i just need a re-tune done to run e/85
How about O2 sensors? Race gas eats them up like candy. How's E85 on them?
Still alot cheaper than 93 lol, good post 04Sleeper!
Where are you located? I know where just about every E85 station is in DFW.10 cents cheaper than 87 is a lot cheaper than 93. But factor in that you're going to lose 20% fuel economy, you'll be filling up more often, which is pretty damn often as is with these cars.
I myself am considering doing this, but distance between fill stations is a potential deal breaker. All of the E85 pumps seem to be in the Las Colinas/Lewisville area. That's a 15 - 20 min drive to fill up.
is it possible to run E85 on a bone stock vehicle? with stock injecters and stock fuel pump? and stock fuel lines etc...???
I would assume so? Just looking at all the vehicles that are flex fuel from the factory? I don't know though... 04Sleeper would be the guy to ask anything about e85.
