Dyno Video: 5500 RPMs And It Broke!

piston

piston is a paper weight. also how is the cylinder wall? did the metal kill the cylinder wall or is everything still ok.

I just ordered a new piston/coating from Modular Performance . I've got way too much invested in this set-up to skimp at this point.

I got damn lucky with the cyl. wall. Looks like its in perfect shape.

We'll get it going,........AGAIN! :bash: :D

This is lucky.


Only one cyclinder had damage and all that was need just a little honing. The car made 290RWHP on a mustang dyno with the damaged pistions minus the damage to #7 (center pistion) #6 has the same type of damage but not as sever. I broke #7 while spanking a wrx :D Car didnt smoke or nothing. Just missed every now and then, but it did make some VERY scary noises. :eek:

BTW, that is the result of a year of running around a 13:1-13.5:1 A/F ratio, and beating the balls out of it. Motor didnt even have 10K on it when it went. But the good thing is my motor should handle 850 rwhp no problem now! :burnout:
