Fine tuning just cant be done with it w/o the programing. We can get it closer but I would not use the word fine when it comes to the tune and using a Predator. The Predator is good but we dont have the means of picking a specific rpm range, adjusting certain functions and so on without a laptop and the programing. Thats why the SCT is better imo. If you get the Racers package, the skys the limit and you can tune right then and there.dvast8n said:If I stuck with Predator, would you be able to fine tune it? I would have an initial tune and then dyno it and have someone make any fine tune that were necessary.
My tune was done by Scot at Mile Hi. With my Predator, Dyno Jet wideband Commander and lots of gas it took approx 10 tunes (via email mind you) to get it close enough. When I sat down and budgeted the dyno time needed and peace of mind, and waiting time, I decided to go with a wideband O2 setup. I can add anything, anytime and know if its working or not and know excatly what it is cuz it data logs along with the Predator. A wideband helps allot. Having a laptop with the programing that allows you to change your tune is the best way to go imo. I had 50+ tunes when tuning my blown 93 back in the day, all with the same mods. Just trying new things and getting the a/f perfect. It worked cuz I could hang with 750cc bikes of the day no problem.
