Pops says $8/$9 each for 4'x8', plus a roll of tape & bucket of mud. Use screws not nails.

Should be $150 or so.

There is a closet as well, and I bought 13 assuming I will mess at least one up. That price was not any material. Only labor, and it was a cash side job. I'm just doing it myself at this point.
If you have 8' ceilings buy 4' wide drywall. if 9' ceilings there is 54" wide drywall available.
Hang it horizontally so that the tapered joints will butt up against each other..
It makes for a nice single seam 1/2 way up the wall.
I'm a mechanical contractor but I see enough drywall being put up that I can do it in my sleep.
I still call a friend for mud and tape. It saves me a lot of time sanding. He calls me when his A/C isn't working well.
