I had the 315 R888R's on at 515hp and couldnt get traction at 40 mph at temps 50 and below. All I can say is be safe man. Go out and feel out the roads to get an idea and if you aren't 100% then don't run it until it warms up.
I completely agree I'll get his ass when temperatures start to go up in spring. there's nothing I wouldn't change on these awesome cars but sometimes wish there was a awd button somewhere for times like this.As a fellow northerner at a little less power, I wouldn't bother. Even if you manage to catch some sort of initial bite, one bump or dip in the road could easily break traction. And that'll be after you've put on some speed. I vote wait until spring or risk sending her into a ditch. Sounds dark, but I don't think it's worth the gamble. He'll hook and go without a care in the world while you're white knuckling it trying to feather the throttle and keep it on the road. Then you'll "lose" and moneybags will feel vindicated for his car purchase.
